  5. The peripheral speed of the workpiece is too large, and the center hole of the workpiece has a polygon; the diameter component of the workpiece is too large, which does not meet the standard of the machine tool.

  6. The main shaft bearing of the grinding wheel is worn, and the cooperation gap is too large, resulting in radial runout.

  7. The headstock spindle bearing is loose.

  Elimination method:

  1. Pay attention to the wheel balance;

  1) The grinding wheel needs to be statically balanced twice;

  2) If the wheel is unbalanced after a period of use, it must be statically balanced again;

  3) Before the grinding wheel is stopped, turn off the coolant first to make the grinding wheel spin and dehydrate, so as to avoid the imbalance caused by the coolant gathering in the lower part.

  2. Too high hardness of grinding wheel: select appropriate hardness of grinding wheel according to the property of workpiece data.

  3. The grinding wheel is not repaired in time after blunt: the grinding wheel must be repaired in time.

  4. The grinding wheel dressing is too fine, or the top angle is often blunt, and the grinding wheel dressing is not sharp; select the dressing amount reasonably, or select the sharp angle to align with the grinding wheel or re weld the diamond.

  5. If the peripheral speed of the workpiece is too large, the center hole of the workpiece is polygonal; properly reduce the rotation speed of the workpiece, and trim the center hole.

  6. If the diameter component of the workpiece is too large, it does not meet the standard of the machine tool; instead, it is grinded on the grinder with larger standard. If this is not possible due to the constraints of the equipment, the grinding depth and longitudinal feed can be reduced and the grinding wheel can be sharpened.

  7. The grinding wheel spindle bearing is worn, the cooperation clearance is too large, and the radial runout occurs; adjust the bearing clearance according to the instructions of the machine tool.

  8. The headstock spindle bearing is loose; adjust the bearing clearance.

  When dressing the grinding wheel, the problem of uneven grinding sparks often occurs, especially in the case of micro feed (AP = 0.015mm). Therefore, with the cooperation of the maintenance personnel, the author adds oil additives into the grinding head spindle box (original liquid) to improve the oil film strength of the bearing, so that the radial thrust from the diamond pen is no longer transmitted to the bearing when the grinding wheel is repaired It's smooth and the sparks are even.
